Anchored in God's Word
“Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable and receives the impossible.” These were the words of Corrie Ten Boom, a renowned woman of faith whose story of survival during the holocaust inspired millions around the world.
While our current situation pales do not in comparison to what Corrie Ten Boom suffered, it is undeniable that we are today in the midst of a crisis. Our lives have been radicalized because of limitations to our mobility. Many of us lost jobs, businesses and more importantly loved ones. Our human frailty tempts us to become depressed, hopeless and at times, even desperate.
Nevertheless, apostle Paul was quick to admonish us to live our lives by faith. Our daily walk should be characterized with faith that God will see us through even in the most hopeless of times.
And as we live by faith, may we continue to remain upright in our conduct, speech and thoughts. May we exhibit a life anchored in God’s Word as we traverse through life’s uncertainties. Let us remain hopeful that our faithful God, day by day, will reveal His wonderful plan for each and every one of us.
When all things do not seem to go our way and when we realize everything seems impossible, let us be reminded of Matthew 17:20
“for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you”
